The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries has instructed us to suspend the implementation of Food service industry Specified Skilled Worker (i) TEST , both in Japan and overseas. Accordingly, we will suspend the reservation procedures for this examination until further notice.Please note that we will continue to accept reservation procedures as scheduled for Food service industry Specified Skilled Worker (ⅱ) TEST, as well as the food and beverage manufacturing industry Specified Skilled Worker (i,ⅱ) TEST.

This suspension order was issued because the number of holders of the Specified Skilled Worker (ⅰ) residence status in the food service industry is expected to exceed the upper limit of 50,000 set by the Japanese government for the five-year period from FY2024 to FY2028 (*). As a result, the examination has also been suspended. The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries has not indicated when the examination will resume.
